Traditionally known as "cricket" tables, these versatile
tables can be used as end tables, occasional tables and/or bedside
tables.  Each piece is moderately distressed to give it an antique
appearance.  To ensure that these tables will last for generations,
the tops consist of three slightly beveled planks glued and splined
together (the outer edge is beveled 30 degrees), while the aprons
and legs are mortised and tinioned together with a hardwood
dowl-rod running through each joint (see photo above).
